Linden House Care Home

 

Ascot Build and Design were approached by an old client who had bought a residential care home in Epsom Surrey. Having dealt with us on previous projects the client felt confident that we were the ideal company to take on a logistically challenging project which would involve fully refurbishing the Care Home which had existing clients in residence.

Company director Steve Bevis worked with the client and the Care Home manager to work out a full specification of required and necessary works. We then designed a workable program which would enable the work to be carried out efficiently with as little disruption to the residents and the running of the home as possible.

We also had meetings with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Fire Officer to ensure that the welfare and safety of both residents and staff was upheld throughout the project and any issues and concerns were addressed quickly and efficiently.

To start with, the project required roof repairs to the original slate roof and replacement flat roofs. The front elevation masonry was fully decorated lifting the front facade and giving the Care Home kerb appeal.

The outside areas, which were all tired, were fully landscaped laying new sandstone patios, ramps and lawn in the rear garden.

​

The internal refurbishment involved electrical rewiring, new plumbing and heating systems, en-suites and communal bathrooms, new carpets and floor finishes, and full redecoration. With the new layout design the kitchen was relocated as well as the laundry room and a new sluice room built.

In all, the Care Home has been transformed from a tired and run down concern which was on the verge of closure, to an immaculate, inviting home for residents to live, and staff to work.

The CQC and Fire Safety Officers have been completely satisfied and all involved at Ascot Build and Design are proud to have been involved in such a challenging project which again shows our commitment to realise clients requirements.
