Health and Safety

Construction is one of the biggest industries in the UK and is often one of the most dangerous. As such, The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has now brought small domestic works into the same category as commercial and large building projects.

As of April 2015, building contractors and the client are required to comply with these rules and regulations.

Failure to comply with these regulations could result in the HSE serving a prohibition notice on a project with penalties being awarded to both the building contractor and the client.

At Ascot Build and Design Limited keeping our employees, sub-contractors and clients safe is our number one priority. We work closely with ‘The Health and Safety People’ (Citation) who have been retained as our Safety Advisors. Ascot Build and Design’s Health and Safety Policy is formally reviewed annually by Citation.

It is our aim to achieve a working environment which is free of work-related accidents, incidents and ill-health and to this end we will pursue continuing improvements from year to year.

At Ascot Build and Design, we always encourage our employees to continually develop themselves. Here are some of the latest courses we have provided:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work

  • UKATA Asbestos Awareness
