Cambrian Road, Richmond
This stunning Victorian property in Richmond required a complete renovation throughout, turning the property from two apartments back to a bright and spacious family home.
Ascot Build and Design meticulously went through the property to bring it back to its former glory from a complete electrical rewire to installing all new plumbing and heating systems (using period radiators). This included underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.
We completed a three storey rear elevation extension creating a much needed new utility room on the ground floor and two bathrooms on the first and second floor. All installed bathrooms and WC were fully tiled by our specialist.
Structural alterations were accomplished over all four floors and all surfaces were completely re-plastered ready for decoration throughout.
Internally, we reinstated many of the original features including plaster corbels and cornices, the bullnose step and handrail features. To complement the period features, we provided doors, architraves and skirting all the way through the property.
The ground floor included installation of a beautiful shaker-style kitchen with parquet flooring. Luxurious carpet was laid throughout the rest of the house, by our specialist, to finally make this house feel like a home.
Externally, the front façade was brought to life with new box sash windows and surrounds, a reclaimed stock wall with stone copings and pier caps.
Limestone paving was laid up to the front door and lower ground floor level. The final touch to the front of the house was provided by the elegant bespoke railings provided by Ascot Build and Design.
To the rear of the property, we built the retaining walls with steps to the garden which led to the bespoke man-cave at the bottom of the garden, built by Ascot Build and Design.
We thoroughly enjoyed working with the client on this project and returning this property back to a beautiful family home.
